Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows
North Kohala Coast of Hawaii
Couples, families, and golfers fill this Kohala Coast beachfront resort. The hotel's open-air atrium reception area
and grounds are built around ponds filled with tropical fish, small sharks, and sea turtles. Guests can
watch fish feedings weekly and participate in the annual release of pond-raised sea turtles each July 4. Historians guide on-site tours of
petroglyphs. Grounds are filled with greens, cabanas, and hammocks under coconut trees.
Hawaiian music and hula is performed nightly in the lobby, and both casual and fine-dining restaurants offer panoramic ocean views.
The concierge provides guests with cards for wireless high-speed Internet access (surcharge), and rents Internet-access handheld computers with which guests can order cocktails or food. Two golf courses, six tennis courts, and a swimming pool are scattered throughout the grounds on the Kohala Coast. The Mauna Lani Spa offers dozens of massage treatments in six indoor treatment rooms and nine thatched-roof outdoor huts. Mauna
Lani Bay Resort offer three types of accommodations; guest rooms, bungalows, and
villas.
Guest Rooms & Suites:
All guest rooms and suites have a new design that reflects Mauna Lani’s enduring elegance while also adapting to the high tech traveler. The new furnishings are in warm earth tones while the bedding and artwork are in cool soothing shades of green. The guest list includes hibernating CEOs, discriminating retirees, newlyweds, vacationing families, gregarious rock stars, and high-flying athletes. Guests of the bungalows are met at the airport by their private butler and brought by limousine to the resort. A private chef prepares meals to the guests' specifications. Each bungalow is fully staffed so guests can fulfill any whim, 24 hours a day. It is a world where "no" does not exist. Villas:
The Mauna Lani Villas offer an alternative opportunity to enjoy Mauna Lani hospitality. Each exquisite villa offers dramatic vistas and views of the Mauna Lani Bay's peaceful and historic fishponds. The Villas are ideal accommodations for families seeking an island retreat of their own.
Each of the well-appointed one, two, and three bedroom villas is individually owned and decorated.
