Families and leisure travelers enter an open-air lobby that leads to a grand, slate-tiled staircase, beyond which lies a snorkeling lagoon with waterfalls. Curved walkways display a $7-million art collection, including rare Hawaiian feather lei. Mahogany canal boats and Swiss-made trams transport guests throughout the 62-acre resort.
In the Dolphin Quest Lagoon, interactive programs (surcharge) educate guests about dolphins.
A second, ocean-fed snorkeling lagoon with sandy beach teems with tropical fish. The resort offers three additional outdoor pools, as well as a 25,000-square-foot health spa and fitness center (surcharge). Nine restaurants and bars provide a range of dining options, including casual California fare and fine regional Hawaiian cuisine.
A narrow stone stairway leads down to a rocky shoreline, tide pools, and a one-mile trail to the calm waters and palm-fringed beach of Anaehoomalu Bay. The resort provides complimentary shuttles to the bay and nearby petroglyph fields upon request.
Complimentary scheduled transportation is provided throughout the property, and shuttle service to two adjacent golf courses, King's Shops, and Anaehoomalu Bay is available upon request.
A second ocean-fed lagoon is available for snorkeling and kayaking. Three freshwater outdoor pools include waterslides and a children's pool. The Kohala Sports Club & Spa (surcharge) offers a fitness and aerobics studio, a weight room, eight tennis courts, and
treatme nts rooms for massage therapy, body wraps, and facials. Camp Menehune (surcharge) provides supervised
children’s activities. On-site shopping includes a resort clothing shop, an art gallery, and boutiques featuring local art, jewelry, and clothing.
A 24-hour business center is available, and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access (surcharge) is provided in the lobby lounge. The resort offers 150,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including several ballrooms and a seaside wedding pavilion.
