This all-inclusive resort is located on beautiful Bavaro Beach. Botanical-minded guests find the resort's gardens fascinating, with hundreds of tropical plants and trees identified by signs, and guided eco-walks to help understand the resort's mangrove-swamp preserve. 

The expansive resort with dense gardens consists of two sections divided by a mangrove-swamp preserve. A garden-lined paved path 600m (656 yds) long connects them, with complimentary shuttles around the clock. Both sections feature open-air buildings arrayed around ponds. The reception section includes the casino and disco. The beachfront-pool section contains most of the resort's restaurants. 

No skimping in this extraordinary All-Inclusive Plan. Daily golf, 24-hour room service, scuba diving, premium liquor, and 10 restaurants are just some All-Inclusive Plan highlights. Turquoise water laps the  beach. Sun-and-shade terraces surround a giant pool. A casino hums and a disco rocks after dark. The resort offers ocean and garden "swim out junior suites". This All-Inclusive resort includes various amenities in the room price.

Location: The resort is located on the Dominican Republic's Caribbean-facing eastern tip. 

Amenities: The majority of amenities, activities, and gratuities at this resort are included in the room rate; guests are not charged extra for the majority of amenities and activities.  Consisting of four open-air, thatched-roof cabanas arrayed around a 12-m (40-ft) pool in a private garden, as well as two air-conditioned rooms and a beauty salon, the health spa features mud baths, Vichy-shower treatments, and hydrotherapies (surcharges for treatments). The spa includes women's and men's saunas, steam rooms, and outdoor 10-person spa tubs. 

The resort's casino offers slot machines, electronic poker, and eight tables for blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, and roulette. Computers provide high-speed Internet access in the lobby, which also has wireless access (surcharges for both).

A freeform pool measuring approximately 250-by-250m (273-by-273 ft) includes a swim-up bar and sunning islands. The resort's frontage on the 32-km (20-mi) Punta Cana beach of light-colored sand extends 400m (437 yds). 

All-Inclusive water sports include a resort-level scuba-diving class plus one ocean dive (more dives available for surcharges), one ocean dive daily for PAIDI-certified divers, snorkeling gear and a daily excursion, kayaks and tours, boogie boards, pedal boats, AquaTrikes, and Sunfish and Hobie Cat sailboats. For surcharges, the water-sports center offers PAIDI scuba-diving certification instruction, deep-sea fishing, parasailing, banana-boating, and speed-boating. 

The All-Inclusive plan includes unlimited golf at the 27-hole Cocotal Golf & Country Club 5 km (3 mi) away, with complimentary transportation provided. (Equipment and mandatory golf-cart rental not included.) Also included are horseback rides for adults and children several times weekly and guided eco-walks for adults and children of the resort's extensively gardened and forested grounds, which include a mangrove swamp. 

Recreational facilities include a 10-m (33-ft) rock climbing tower, a batting cage, an archery range, and four tennis and three paddle-tennis courts (surcharges for night play).

• El Romántico - Air-conditioned French restaurant in main dining area serving à la carte dinners. • Chinese Pavillion - Open-air Chinese restaurant in main dining area serving à la carte dinners. Oversize red lanterns. Dress code: long pants, collared shirts for men.
• La Albufera - Open-air steakhouse in main dining area serving à la carte dinners. Tile floor, elaborately decorated wood ceiling. Dress code: long pants, collared shirts for men.
• El Rodizio - Air-conditioned Brazilian restaurant in main dining area serving à la carte dinners of skewered meats/poultry sliced at table. Blue-and-white-tile exhibition kitchen. Dress code: long pants, collared shirts for men.
• Dolce Vita - Open-air Italian restaurant in main dining area serving lunch buffet, à la carte dinners, late-night pizza. Wood-roof pavilion and tables shaded by thatched roofs set above ponds.
• Antojitos - Air-conditioned Mexican restaurant off lobby serving à la carte dinners. Terrace seating under white tents, also. Dress code: long pants, collared shirts for men.
• La Palapa - Casual, open-air, beachfront spot serving barbecue-style lunch buffets, including roast chicken, burgers, hot dogs, sausages. Wood deck. Thatched roof.
• Chiringito Beach Bar - Open mid-morning to early evening for beer, tropical drinks, hot dogs, hamburgers.
