From there, move into the spacious elegance of the Sea Grape restaurant where you will be treated to exotic flavors of the Caribbean with award-winning, sumptuous dishes created by our master chef. The Gauguin Restaurant offers a smaller, more intimate venue with casual, grill-type fare and ocean views as far as the eye can see.

All guests are welcomed with consummate Antiguan hospitality and whisked away from our historical sugar mill reception by golf cart to one of our astonishing cottages or beachfront accommodations. All guest rooms have air conditioning, terra-cotta tiled floors, louvered windows, ceiling fans, mini refrigerators, hair dryers, coffee machines, in-room safes, king bedding, bathrooms with showers, direct-dial telephones and televisions.

Location: Antigua is located in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean, roughly 17 degrees north of the equator. To the south are the islands of Montserrat and Guadaloupe, and to the north and west are Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Barts, and St. Martin. Gally Bay is located on the western side of Antigua.

A 0.5-mile jogging path circles a lagoon maintained as a bird and waterfowl sanctuary within the resort's 40 acres.

• Sea Grape Restaurant - Open-air seating under pitched wood ceiling facing boardwalk just above beach. Á la carte breakfast, lunch, dinner. Dinner appetizers such as Chorizo, Olive, Potato, and Herb Salad; Crab Cake Nested on Wilted-Vegetable Spaghetti; Orange Marinated in Grenadine and Wine. Salads such as Spinach with Bacon, Caesar. Main courses include Grilled Lamb Chops, lobster, wahoo, and Butterfish in Herb  Broth; Smoked Eggplant Custard over Creole Ratatouille. Nightly entertainment. Thursday night West Indian barbecue. 
• Gauguin Restaurant - Casual spot isolated on beach. Private tables situated under individual thatch shades with terra-cotta-tile floors. Á la carte lunch of salads, sandwiches, light fare. Á la carte dinners, with appetizer choices such as Pan-fried Seafood Medley; soups; salads; and main courses such as vegetarian pasta, Beef Tenderloin Medallions with Horseradish and Parsley Rosti; Grilled Sirloin Steak with Creamed Mustard; Roasted Duck; Jerk Chicken with Fried Plantains. Reservations required. 
• Lounge Bar - Open-air seating on thickly cushioned dark-bamboo chairs under ceiling fans next to boardwalk above beach. Open evenings.
