Selecting one of the right Tahiti honeymoon for you, can be very stressful not to mention confusing and we are here to assist you with your plans. In all, there are 10 Tahitian Islands to choose from. They are Papeete, Moorea, Bora Bora, Huahine, Tahaa, Raiatea, Rangiroa, Tikehau, Fakarava , and Manihi. Which island or islands are best? It depends on many things, but our staff will be happy to answer your questions and find the best options for your Tahiti Vacation.
About the Tahitian Islands
We are always asked, what is the best time to visit Tahiti? The answer is anytime. French Polynesia enjoys warm, tropical weather year-round. The climate is divided into two seasons: a "summer" that spans from November through March, when the daily temperature is about 86 degrees Fahrenheit, and most of the rain falls; and a drier "winter" that spans from April through October, when the daily temperature is about 82 degrees Fahrenheit. The year-round low is about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The average water temperature is in the low 80s.
Tahiti has sharp and sudden peaks dominating the midsection of the island. Bordering both the sea and land of the island is a lagoon that that is sheltered from the sea by a coral reef. The beaches have white sand and are backed by dense tropical foliage.
Bora Bora: This picture-perfect paradise offers the most beautiful lagoon of the entire archipelago, as well as adventures you will find nowhere else, like shark
feeding!
Huahine: Actually made up of 2 small islands joined by an isthmus, quiet and serene Huahine is a place for total escape. Ancient Huahine is visible both in open daily life and at numerous digs throughout its 50 square
miles
Raiatea/Manihi: These 2 islands have distinctly individual personalities. Raiatea is the administrative center for the Iles Sont le Vent (Leeward Islands of the Society Islands).
Manihi made its name as the home of the black pearl. This island is only 3.5 miles wide and 19 miles long, with a tiny population of 400, the majority of whom are black-pearl farmers!
You won’t find mega resorts in the Tahitian Islands. Most resorts have less than 300 rooms. Accommodations will vary from luxury deep overwater bungalows, which are bungalows at the farthest end of the walkways, to moderate lanai hotel rooms. Our staff will be happy to explain the differences between each island and the individual resorts. Other Types of Travel Services
